ATC is a family-run company, established in 1974, renowned for manufacturing high-quality loudspeakers and electronics that are trusted by leading professionals across the audio industry. We are currently seeking a Technical Author to join our team and work closely with our engineers at our Stroud facility.
As a part of ATC, you will be involved in the introduction and production of a variety of drive unit and electronics assemblies. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and manage the necessary documentation to support these products throughout their production lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to develop assembly guides, test procedures, and SOPs.
- Maintain and update the company’s quality management procedures.
- Implement document revision control measures and manage a comprehensive document library.
- Develop clear, concise, and illustrated content.
- Create reusable and modular content to streamline the documentation process.
- Adapt content across various formats to cater to audience needs.
Essential Requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Experience with authoring tools, preferably Adobe FrameMaker.
- Experience with illustration and photo editing tools, preferably Corel Draw & Corel Photo-Paint.
- Experience using CAD software for creating illustrations, preferably SolidWorks.
- Prior experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to extract information from engineers and process owners.
